With the rapid advancement of artificial intelligence, its applications have increasingly permeated everyday life. In order to enhance students’ awareness of AI safety and technological ethics, the English Eloquence Mastery Club of Chung Ling Private High School organized the “Illusion of Artificial Intelligence: EEMC AI Safety Workshop 2026”, guiding students to explore the risks and responsibilities behind technological development.

The event was held on Wednesday, 8 April 2026, from 3:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. at Yuxiu Hall. Open to all students, the workshop attracted many participants who were keenly interested in technology-related topics. Organized by the English Eloquence Mastery Club, the event aimed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of real-world AI applications, potential risks, and ethical implications through a combination of a keynote talk and interactive activities.

Registration began at 2:50 p.m., followed by a brief opening session conducted by the organizing committee, during which the flow of the event and key reminders were introduced. The main talk officially commenced at 3:20 p.m., delivered by an invited speaker. The speaker elaborated on the applications of AI in daily life and further examined the issue of accountability when AI systems make errors, prompting students to reflect on the critical question: “Who is responsible when technology fails?”

Throughout the session, the speaker not only highlighted the potential risks associated with artificial intelligence but also emphasized the importance of using AI responsibly in everyday contexts. Interactive games were incorporated into the workshop, allowing students to engage in discussions in a relaxed atmosphere and deepen their understanding of AI safety concepts.

The workshop aimed to guide students in recognizing both the benefits and risks of AI development while cultivating their critical thinking skills. By encouraging rational analysis of technology’s impact on society, the event helped students build a more balanced perspective on technological advancement and strengthened their awareness of AI-related issues.

The event concluded with a group photo session from 4:30 p.m. to 4:40 p.m., marking a successful and meaningful end to the workshop amid warm applause.
