The school recently organized an English essay writing competition with the aim of improving students’ writing skills and enhancing their interest in learning English. It also served as a valuable platform for students to express their ideas and showcase their creativity. Through this activity, the school hoped to cultivate students’ critical thinking abilities and encourage them to use English more confidently in their daily learning.

On the day of the competition, the event was conducted in each classroom under the supervision of teachers, and participants were divided into three groups: Category A (S1–S3 and F4–F5), Category B (J2–J3 and F2–F3), and Category C (J1 and F1). Students remained in their own classes, seated neatly and ready to begin. As soon as the teacher announced the start of the competition, the classroom fell silent, filled only with the sound of pens moving across paper. Each group was given topics appropriate to their level, allowing students to express their ideas according to their language ability. Some students wrote fluently without hesitation, while others paused to carefully plan their essays before continuing. Despite the quiet surroundings, the atmosphere was one of focus and determination, with everyone fully engaged in the competition.

In conclusion, the English essay writing competition provided a meaningful opportunity for students to challenge themselves and improve their language abilities. It not only strengthened their confidence in writing but also encouraged them to think more deeply and express themselves more clearly.
